A pond disc turns your garden pond into a special eye-catcher. Instead of just seeing fish and water movement from above, the pond window offers a clear side view into the underwater world. This allows for a much more intense observation of koi, ornamental fish, and plants.
The pond disc is suitable for high-quality garden ponds, koi ponds, walled pond systems and pond bodies where optical impact plays an important role alongside technical function.
A pond window offers more than just a special optical effect. The side view into the pond allows fish to be observed better and changes to be recognised more quickly. Behaviour, swimming movements or possible injuries are significantly more visible from this perspective than when viewed purely from above.
This is a major advantage, especially for koi ponds, as the fish can be regularly checked without disturbing them. At the same time, it creates a modern, high-quality pond area with a special sense of depth.
The pond discs are made of robust VSG (laminated safety glass). This safety glass is made up of several layers of glass bonded together by a tear-resistant and tough-elastic film. This makes VSG glass highly secure and particularly suitable for demanding applications in pond construction.
The circulating frame and the flanges are made of stainless steel. The disc is already bonded to the frame and is delivered with a matching flange. This creates a stable unit for installation in masonry, pond bodies or liner ponds.
The classic pond panel is fitted into a prepared, straight pond wall. It is particularly suitable for the front sections of koi ponds, swimming ponds, brick-built garden ponds or modern water features.
When installed in solid masonry, the pond disc is inserted into the prepared recess, aligned, and secured via the flange areas. Subsequently, any voids can be filled and the connection to the pond liner or pond body can be made.
As well as straight pond panels, corner panels are also available. A corner panel is fitted into the corner of the pond and provides a particularly unobstructed view of the garden pond. This allows you to view the fish and the underwater areas from several different angles.
The corner pane is particularly interesting for modern koi ponds, show garden ponds and brick-built pond systems where the pond window is a central design feature. The corner solution creates a high-quality panoramic effect with a significantly expanded field of vision.
Corner discs and pane discs can be integrated into masonry, pond bodies or foil ponds depending on the design. The stainless steel frame with a flange facilitates a secure connection to the pond construction and ensures a clean join between the disc and the pond structure.
The pre-assembled pane unit facilitates clear planning of the installation. It is important to prepare the recess carefully and to take production-related dimensional tolerances into account during the planning stage.
In addition to the standard sizes available, custom-made and non-standard dimensions are possible on request for an additional charge. This allows pond panes and corner panes to be planned to fit individual pond projects, special wall thicknesses, or specific design ideas.
The goods must be inspected for any damage immediately upon delivery in the presence of the carrier. If there is any damage, or if the pallet was transported in an upright position, this must be documented both photographically and in writing. In this case, the driver must not be allowed to confirm that the delivery has been made in order.
Due to production, the dimensions of the pond liners may show variations of approximately +/- 10 mm. When creating the recess, an additional clearance of approximately +15 mm should therefore be taken into account for the width, and +10 mm for the height.
