GFK filter

The backbone for crystal-clear pond water.

GFK filter — why?

Filter housings made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) form the technical heart of durable pond systems. Unlike simple plastics, GRP is virtually indestructible, weather-resistant and retains its value — no technological wear, no spare parts issues.

TRIPOND GFK filters rely on biological stability and physical robustness instead of failure-prone electronics. No sensor, no motor, no control board – and yet the highest filter performance.

TRIPOND Centre-Vortex
The compact all-in-one solution

The Center Vortex is a proven multi-chamber filter system combining maximum cleaning performance in a minimal space. Five cleaning stages using the up-flow principle — water flows through the filter from bottom to top for optimal flow and easy maintenance.

The five purification stages

Vortex chamber

Centrifugal forces effectively separate coarse debris such as leaves and feed residue.

2. Brush chamber

Mechanical fine separation of algae residue and suspended solids.

3. - 5. Biological Zones

Three chambers with high-quality media (e.g. Japanese mats) biologically break down pollutants such as ammonia and nitrite.

Performance & Dimensions

Available in sizes C-20 to C-115:

  • Koi ponds — up to 35,000 litres
  • Natural ponds — up to 100,000 litres

TRIPOND In-line Filter

Classic multi-chamber filters with spatially distinct separation of mechanical and biological processes — flexible, modular, and scalable for any pond size.

Compact Series

Ideal for small to medium-sized ponds. Multi-stage design with 3 to 5 chambers, can be flexibly combined with a vortex pre-filter. Compact design for confined installation situations.

Jumbo Series

For large pond volumes and high loads, e.g. heavily stocked koi ponds. Same proven technology as the compact series, but with significantly larger chamber dimensions for high water volumes.

Both series: The modular design allows the stocking to be individually adapted to the fish stock.

TRIPOND Module Filter —
Maximum flexibility

The modular system for bespoke filter solutions. Individual GRP modules are combined in varying numbers and sequences, according to your requirements.

Available modules:

  • Brush module Mechanical pre-filtration
  • Carpet module — main biological stage with Japanese mats
  • Bioball module for high biological performance
  • Aquarock Module natural filter medium
  • Moving Bead Module — for dynamic filter biology

Future-proof: The system can be expanded at any time with additional modules for pond enlargement or increased fish stocking.

Accessories — More power, more comfort

With the right accessories, the efficiency and ease of use of the filter system can be significantly increased:

Vortex wave

Special insert for the Vortex chamber — increases separation efficiency by up to 75% through flow stabilisation.

Drain kits

Connects the dirt outlets of all chambers to a central drain — quick and clean cleaning.

Connection sets

Easy connection of different hose diameters to the 110 mm or 160 mm inlets.

UV-C holder

Stainless steel brackets for space-saving integration of UV technology directly onto the GRP filter.

GFK pump sumps

Professional enclosures for the protected housing of pumps and equipment outside of the pond.

Why GRP multi-chamber filters?

Why fibreglass multi-chamber filters?

Biologically superior

Higher resilience than automated systems — stable biocoenosis, robust Japanese mats, no biological collapse during peak loads.

Absolute
Winterfest

No nozzles, no frost traps — can be operated all year round, even at -15°C.

Noise
the

Gravity-operated with no moving parts – no noise from flushing pumps.

Minimal operating costs

No consumables, no electricity for rinsing cycles, no spare parts for electronics.

Value-stable

GFK does not age technologically – a filter that runs today will run exactly the same in 20 years.
