Stabilize water parameters
Stable water values — pH, carbonate hardness (KH) and general hardness (GH) — are the basis for all biological processes in a pond. Fluctuations stress fish and filter biology equally. Regular monitoring of measurable parameters is crucial: they indicate early on when loads are getting out of balance.

Targeted algale control
Algae arise from the interplay of light and available nutrients. The key is not complete removal, but control of nutrient availability. Treatment must always be tailored to the type of algae — individual measures may help in the short term, but sustainable control only arises from the coordinated interplay of all care steps.

Step 3:
Bind and secure nutrients
Following algae and pond sludge treatments, bound phosphate can be released. This nutrient is immediately available to algae as a growth substrate again. Nutrient binding is therefore a central component of the maintenance concept.
