The TRIPOND Universal Sealant and Adhesive is a one-component adhesive and sealant for various materials and connections in pond construction. It is suitable for new installations as well as for repair, maintenance, and sealing work on ponds, pools, and technical water systems.
Typical applications include sealing floor drains, flanges, bushings, screw connections, and other joint points. Furthermore, the product can be used for suitable pond liners and various smooth or absorbent substrates.
The sealing adhesive also adheres to damp surfaces and cures underwater. Its high initial adhesive strength makes it easy to fix the parts to be joined. After complete curing, the bond remains permanently elastic and resistant to ageing, UV radiation, and weathering.
The black material is virtually odourless and free from isocyanates, silicones and solvents. It is suitable for interior and exterior applications, as well as for koi, garden, natural and swimming ponds.
A typical application example is the sealing of a floor drain: the sealing and adhesive compound is applied as a continuous bead between the membrane and the flange before the components are joined together evenly.
A cartridge press, cleaning agents, and further processing tools are not part of the scope of delivery.

When dealing with unknown materials, coatings or film types, an adhesion and material compatibility test should be carried out in an inconspicuous area before full processing.
The TRIPOND Universal Sealant and Adhesive can be combined with suitable installation parts, flanges, floor drains, threaded connections, bushings, and pond liners.
It is expressly intended for use with EPDM and PVC membranes. For other types of membranes, coatings, or unknown material combinations, compatibility should be tested beforehand.

The substrates and components to be bonded must be clean, load-bearing, and free from dust, grease, and loose parts. The product can be processed on damp substrates; however, contaminants and non-load-bearing residues must be removed beforehand.
Apply the material to one of the surfaces to be joined in a bead or spot pattern. Then join the components and press them together evenly.
When sealing, apply a continuous and uniform bead of sealant corresponding to the required joint dimensions. Interruptions, voids, and air inclusions in the sealant bead should be avoided.
Processing should take place at temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C. The skin-forming time is approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Further curing depends on temperature, air humidity, material thickness, and installation situation.
On unknown subfloors or material combinations, a test area should be laid out before final installation. The connection must not be subjected to load until the material has sufficiently cured.
