They are suitable for garden ponds and koi ponds when individual parameters need to be monitored specifically \u2013 for example, following unusual test results, in the event of changes in the pond, or for regular monitoring.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the variant chosen, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, total hardness and carbonate hardness, or phosphate can be tested. Depending on the test, the results are interpreted using either a colour comparison or a drop-counting\/colour-change method.<\/p>\n<p>A practical example: if elevated nutrient levels are suspected in a pond, the phosphate or nitrate levels can be tested specifically.
